What to expect of the HR Support Administrator position within Huisman?

The HR Support Administrator at Huisman is the backbone of the HR department. Within this role you will learn to work with our systems and HR processes. You can develop into the administrative tasks. You are responsible for supporting the HR department itself and executing, managing and optimizing the administration of the HR process. You work in a team with two HR Support colleagues and have frequently contact with employees of Huisman Schiedam. There is also a lot of room for growth and development. What do we expect of you?

As the first point of contact of the HR department for Huisman employees, you elaborate and explain about HR procedures, working conditions and employee benefits regulations. In the role of HR Administrator, you are responsible for, among other things, carrying out the operational HR processes related to new employees, terminations, contract extensions, parental leave, etc. The preparation, management and archiving of HR documents and personnel files is part of your work. In doing so, you are responsible for the correct and timely processing of HR information that forms the basis for the HR and payroll administration. You are providing information to managers and employees and ensuring that the documentation is in order for audits (ISO, OHSAS, API). You participate in planned HR Projects such as the expansion/redesign of the HR Information System and the HR Service Portal. We also expect to initiate improvements to your role and the HR support processes.

You Are:

  • Available for at least 32 hours per week;

You Have:

  • Completed a relevant secondary level or bachelor education;
  • 1 year of experience in a supporting role within an HR department;
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Afas personnel information system is a plus;
  • You work accurate and at the same time you are flexible and facilitating;

Some practical things we need you to have:

  • An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
  • A good command of the English and Dutch language verbally and in writing.
