About the position of Data Scientist Predictive Maintenance

What to expect of the Data Scientist position within Huisman?. You can think of getting excellent overviews of the actual usage of our equipment, compare the usage with the design criteria and develop tooling to predict the remaining lifetime and optimize our products.

What do we expect of you?

As a data scientist, you are part of the big-data team who is developing a data platform and executing predictive maintenance. The team simultaneously analyses data, develops tooling and executes predictive maintenance for clients.

You will:

  •  Identifying trends analysing patterns in measurement data, expanding validation options;
  • Developing new metrics, dashboards and visualisation together with engineers after doing all the necessary checks;
  • Reporting the results of your analysis to our clients;
  • Developing a maintenance strategy together with engineers based on the data analysis;
  • Selecting suitable hardware and software in collaboration with engineers of other disciplines;
  • Assisting our Global Services business line with problems that arise while the product is in use by our clients;
  • Fixing the data issues and communications around it;
  • Testing hypothesis;
  • Contributes actively to securing and transferring knowledge in the organization.

  • Not afraid to bear responsibility.

 You have:

  • Master or Bachelors degree and knowledge about data visualisation, Grafana, JavaScript, Python or C++ and experience with databases like PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge in or work experience with software writing or design;
  • Affinity with Control systems, Engineering and Mechatronics is preferred.

Some practical things we need you to have:

  • An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
  • A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
