About the position of Labour Market Communications Specialist

What can you expect from the position of Labour Market Communications Specialist at Huisman?

In this challenging (new) position, you will use labour market communication to optimally profile Huisman as an employer. You know how to how to make the difference with the right message using the best channels in the tight labour market, and which buttons to push to optimise the recruitment of candidates. Your goal: to reach, interest and retain the best professionals for the long term! Including the current employees in your strategy is also important.

Labour market communication and (co)developing an effective online marketing strategy are familiar territory to you. Your focus is directed both externally and internally. As an experienced labour market communications specialist, you approach and connect various interests, people and (target) groups. Your vision and working method are focused on the short, medium and long term. You will be part of the PR & Communication team, working closely with the HR department, internal stakeholders and with external parties.

What do we expect of you?

  • You develop, implement and manage the labour market strategy for Huisman Netherlands, in line with the corporate communication strategy and branding;
  • You are responsible for the policy and the annual plans relating to (internal and external) labour market communication, and you advise your stakeholders accordingly;
  • You manage and create the content for different channels. Whether it involves interesting stories from employees or editing the vacancy text template, you are expert in profiling Huisman in the right way;
  • You provide the HR department with solicited and unsolicited advice and work closely with both your HR and PR & Communication colleagues. In doing so, you take a lot of initiative, and you lead various projects. These might include recruitment campaigns, the optimisation of the working-for website and selection days;
  • You are a sparring partner for your colleagues in our international offices;
  • You manage, analyse and optimise the (online and offline) recruitment campaigns;
  • You work on the (conversion) optimisation of our working-for website;
  • You actively contribute to the development of a contact strategy whereby candidates continually stay in touch with us;
  • You manage and create the content for different channels. Whether it involves interesting stories from employees or editing the vacancy text template, you are expert in profiling Huisman in the right way;
  • You provide the HR department with solicited and unsolicited advice and work closely with both your HR and PR & Communication colleagues. In doing so, you take a lot of initiative, and you lead various projects. These might include recruitment campaigns, the optimisation of the working-for website and selection days;
  • You are a sparring partner for your colleagues in our international offices.

Wondering if you are 'equipped for impact'?

You are:

  • skilled in both strategy and implementation;
  • used to working in an internationally big and diverse playing field;
  • decisive and have excellent communication skills;
  • structured, you can act fast and set priorities;
  • critical and have an eye for detail;
  • good at writing texts in both English and Dutch.

You have:

  • at least a degree at higher professional level, preferably in communications or marketing;
  • experience as a labour market communications specialist or recruitment marketer, and employer branding holds no secrets for you;
  • excellent knowledge of online marketing, job boards, analytics and other measuring methods;
  • proven experience in developing, implementing and managing an online marketing strategy;
  • experience in initiating, implementing and analysing conversion-oriented campaigns.

Some practical things we need you to have:

  • An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
  • A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
