Are you passionate about making beautiful products from a block of steel? Prefer continuous developments and new technologies? Interested in a retraining programme and learning the trade of a CNC Milling/ Boring Operator? Then this BBL course 3, in collaboration with Stodt, is perfect for you!
After completing this practice-oriented BBL 3 All-round Precision Machinist course with intensive supervision, you can independently draw up and produce CNC programs with CNC-controlled production machines.
During the course you will learn CNC turning or milling and mechanical measuring techniques, among other things. In addition to these practical skills, you will also be taught theoretical subjects, such as converting contours, material knowledge and machining technique. You will also take some general subjects, such as Dutch and calculations.
You will be working at Huisman 4 days a week and spend 1 day a week at Stodt. On the course day at Stodt, you have an intensive program from 08:30 to 21:15, with practical classes followed by theoretical subjects.
During the course you keep a portfolio, tests are taken in all theory subjects, and you take exams in the general subjects. You conclude your training with an Aptitude Test (PvB). This proves you can apply what you have learned in practice.
The course duration is determined based on the intake. The nominal duration is 3 years. With sufficient prior education/work experience and motivation, the course can be individually accelerated to at least 1 year.
