About the position of Category Buyer Services
What to expect of the Category Buyer Services position within Huisman?
Are you looking for a job where ensure that components and services, required for our projects, are ordered in a timely manner, within budget and according applicable quality requirements and processes?
As Category Buyer, you think pro-actively with our business. In collaboration with the Category Managers you initiate the required activities to ensure business continuity. You do not allow poor Solutions and will always achieve the best deal. Working closely together with the Supply Chain Coordinators and the Expeditors, you will make our projects a success every time.

What do we expect of you?
You will be responsible for:
- Development of commodities in collaboration with the Category Manager;
- Best price, best quality and in time delivery of the required goods and/ or services;
- Investigating innovation possibilities, price reduction possibilities and general and/ or specific improvements regarding of goods and/ or services;
- A collaborative and transparent relationship with key suppliers;
- Ability to work precisely and organised;
- You have excellent planning and organisation skills, are hands-on, proactive and able to support multiple people simultaneously.
Wondering if you are 'equipped for impact'?
You have:
- A bachelor's degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain Management;
- Nevi 1 or equivalent and Nevi 2 (or motivated to follow training);
- 3-5 years’ experience in a technical organization;
- Affinity with technology;
- The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and know how to prioritize;
- Analytical skills, pro-activity and ownership.
Some practical things we need you to have:
- An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
- A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
