About the position of Junior Cost Estimator
What to expect of the Junior Cost Estimator position within Huisman?

As a Junior Cost Estimator you will start your career under the supervision of our more experienced colleagues in close cooperation with colleagues all over the world. Your development in terms of knowledge, experience and internal networking is vital. What do we expect of you?
As a Junior Cost Estimator you will:
- Check the information supplied by Concept Engineering and ensuring that the background of the design and technical solutions are clear. You also look for ways to cut costs in design and implementation;
- Provide cost estimates for sales proposals based on the information supplied;
- Project support: by providing insight into budgets to project management, production sites worldwide and the finance department;
- Continuously improve your estimates by learning from completed projects and global trends.
Wondering if you are 'equipped for impact'?
You are:
- Flexible;
- A team player who can also work independently;
- Critical and able to spot errors in designs, budgets and plans;
- Always willing to gain new knowledge by listening and asking questions
- Accurate and works well with numbers;
- Immune to stress and comfortable with short deadlines.
You have:
- A master's or bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as mechanical engineering;
- An analytical and structured way of working;
- Able to quickly adapt to new requirements and prioritise.
Some practical things we need you to have:
- An EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
- A good command of the English and Dutch language verbally and in writing.
