About the position of IT Global Service Desk Manager

As a Global Service Desk Manager, you play a key role in managing IT service desk processes and teams worldwide. You combine leadership, process management, and functional IT knowledge with a strong focus on service improvement, automation, and user satisfaction.

You will collaborate daily with external IT partners, optimize self-service, enhance the digital workplace, and ensure a standardized global service offering. In close cooperation with other IT departments, you will also lead the transformation toward modern, automated, and data-driven IT support.

What do we expect of you?

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Manage the global IT Service Desk across six international locations, ensuring smooth collaboration with external vendors and alignment with SLAs.
  • Drive Self-Service & Automation by optimizing AI-driven portals, workflows, and request handling to reduce tickets and speed up response times.
  • Enhance User Experience through a clear IT service catalog, consistent service delivery, and improved customer satisfaction (CSAT).
  • Ensure Control & Compliance with accurate CMDB and asset lifecycle management, transparent IT communications, and proper incident tracking.
  • Foster Knowledge & Adoption by maintaining global documentation, training materials, and supporting users in adopting new IT services and tools.
  • Analyze & Improve service performance using Power BI dashboards, ITSM analytics, and user feedback to continuously enhance processes.

You are: 

  • Customer-oriented;

  • Good in planning and organizing; 
  • A good team player; 
  • Proactive and convincing; 
  • Result-oriented;
  • AZ-304/ AZ-305 certified;
  • Willing to travel abroad. 

You have: 

  • Bachelor level of education (hbo); 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position; 
  • A good command of the Dutch language verbally and in writing; 
  • ITIL Foundation; 
  • Prince2 or equivalent; 
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure; 
  • Preferable expertise in Microsoft 365 solutions / Microsoft Cloud solutions; 
  • Experience in leading small teams. 

Some practical things we need you to have:

  • An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands; 
  • A good command of the Dutch and English language verbally and in writing.
