About the position of Senior Structural Engineer
What can you expect from the Senior Structural Engineer position at Huisman

What do we expect of you?
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you play an active role in driving project innovation and further strengthening our Engineering capabilities.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- defining and safeguarding design assumptions for complex mechanical projects;
- performing FEM modelling and structural calculations for heavy (offshore) systems;
- specifying requirements for purchased components;
- optimising designs with a focus on material efficiency, dimensions and weight, functional lifetime and maintenance;
- supervising and guiding the work of fellow structural engineers.

- practical, accurate and punctua;
- living in the Enschede region (max. 50 km one way). Physical presence at the location Enschede is required.
You have:
- a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- 5–7 years’ experience as a Senior Structural Engineer within heavy
- mechanical engineering, preferably in the offshore or maritime sector;
- a strong affinity with complex mechanical systems;
- the ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and to prioritise effectively.
Some practical things we need you to have:
- an EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
- a good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
