About the position of Work Preparations Engineer - Services
As a Work Preparation Engineer – Services, you are responsible for identifying the multidisciplinary scope of work and defining the execution process, from the handover from Sales through to outsourcing and execution.
You will not carry out this role alone. You work closely with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Huisman production locations, other branches, and suppliers.
You monitor the project schedule and ensure that agreed quality standards, quantities and costs are met. You work on a project basis, have strong planning and coordination skills, and demonstrate a high level of drive. In addition, you ensure that all delivery requirements, including all associated documentation, are fully met.
This is a full-time position based in Schiedam.

What do we expect of you?
You are:
- Accustomed to working in a structured manner;
- Able to work independently and take initiative;

Wondering if you are 'equipped for impact'?
You have:
- Completed senior secondary vocational education (Level 4) in E&I or Hydraulics;
- a minimum of 3 years of recent, relevant experience in a similar role;
- Knowledge of electrical engineering or hydraulics, gained within maritime, oil & gas, or construction engineering environments;
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and engineering drawings;
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and planning systems;
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
Some practical things we need you to have:
- A valid EU passport or a valid work permit for the Netherlands;
- A good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
