About the position of Maintenance Manager
As Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for the overall performance of the Maintenance organization. You ensure safe, reliable and cost‑effective operation of all technical assets while driving continuous improvement and long‑term asset management.
What do we expect of you?
As Maintenance Manager, you lead the Maintenance team and are accountable for strategy, planning, execution and continuous improvement of all maintenance activities. You balance operational priorities with long‑term objectives and act as a key stakeholder within the organization.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing the maintenance strategy in line with business objectives
- Ensuring availability, reliability and safety of all technical assets and installations
- Leading, coaching and developing the Maintenance team
- Managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs and long‑term asset plans
- Setting priorities, planning resources and controlling budgets (OPEX & CAPEX)
- Driving process improvements, standardization and performance optimization
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, standards and audits
- Managing contractors, suppliers and service agreements
- Reporting on maintenance performance, risks and improvement initiatives
- Acting as a key interface with Operations, Projects, Engineering and Management
- Guiding the organization towards the maintenance strategy
- Responsibility for further developing the department and positioning it within the organization
Wondering if you are 'equipped for impact'?
You are/ have:
- Bachelor level working and thinking level (technical or engineering background preferred)
- Proven experience in a maintenance management or senior maintenance role
- Experience with further developing the department and positioning it within the organization
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical and/or hydraulic systems
- Experience with asset management, maintenance planning and reliability improvement
- Strong analytical, organizational and decision‑making capabilities
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and safety
Some practical things we need you to have:
Good command of English (Dutch is an advantage)
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
EU passport or valid work permit for the Netherlands
