About the position of CAD Engineer R&D
What can you expect as a CAD Engineer at Huisman? As a CAD Engineer, you are part of the Engineering or R&D department, and you translate design engineers’ concepts into production drawings that can be manufactured by our factories and suppliers.

What do we expect of you?
As a CAD Engineer, you translate design engineers’ concepts into production drawings that can be manufactured by our factories and suppliers.
You enjoy:
- Breaking down designs into production steps;
- Commenting on manufacturability where needed;
- Creating drawings for each production step and making them accessible to engineers, supply chain, and manufacturing;
- Staying in contact with designers and production staff;
- Contributing to the construction of impressive equipment;
- Gaining knowledge of production techniques;

You are:

- Result‑ and customer‑oriented;
You have:
- An MBO or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Dutch and English both written and spoken;
Knowledge of drawing standards such as dimensioning and tolerances; - Knowledge of mechanical production techniques such as cutting, welding,turning, bending, milling, and drilling;
Knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, gearboxes, bolts, etc. - Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus;
- Experience with PDM/PLM;
- General technical / Microsoft knowledge;
Some practical things we need you to have:
- An EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
- A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
