About the position of Junior Project Manager
What to expect of the Junior Project Manager position within Huisman?
We offer of a challenging position in an international organisation where innovation, quality, flexibility and creativity are key. You will be involved in all phases of the project, from the kick-off meeting to delivery to the customer and you maintain contact with our service organisation. The projects of Huisman are large and complex and can amount to more than fifty million euros. The scope of the projects has to do with engineering, procurement and construction (EPC).

What do we expect of you?
As a Junior Project Manager within Huisman you are responsible for phased and structured project management of smaller projects or you support a Project Manager on our large and complex multidisciplinary projects (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Control Engineering).
This means that you are partly responsible for:
- Managing planning, budget, quality, and client relations.
- Acting as the first point of contact for the client at all levels and for the entire project.
- Organizing risk management sessions to address (security) risks and identify opportunities to ensure timely and accurate project deliverables.
- Providing timely information about quality, scope, time, budget, and customer satisfaction to all stakeholders.
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring that the team adheres to the schedule and the authorization matrix.

You have:
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field;
- A good command of the Dutch language verbally and in writing;
- Work experience within the heavy machinery, shipbuilding or offshore sectors;
- As a minimum 2 years Project Manager experience;
- Knowledge of modern project management methods, tools and techniques, production techniques and technical drawings;
- The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and know how to prioritise;
- Some experience in guiding a team;
- Strong interest in being the best Project Manager you can.
Some practical things we need you to have:
- An EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands
- A good command of the English language verbally and in writing
