About the position of Financial Manager
What can you expect from the position of Financial Manager at Huisman?
We are looking for a Finance Manager for our site in the Czech Republic. From this position, which has a direct line to our location in the Netherlands. You will report to the Group Controller in the Netherlands, but at the same time you will be the financial business partner for the local management. It is important to note that in the first year you will spend more than 60% of your time in the Czech Republic and then you will be based in the Czech Republic for more than 1 year. Therefore, we are seeking candidates who are willing to relocate to the Czech Republic and have the adaptability to adjust to their new environment or are already living in the Czech Republic.
In this role, you will act as a financial expert and business sparring partner within the local management team. You will provide financial insight into the site's performance (CAPEX, P&L, productivity KPIs) through regular costing and analysis. They are also responsible for the implementation of measures to improve processes.
The most important aspect of this function is to ensure that the company's budget targets are met and that all actions within the production process are in line with the company's financial objectives.
Since you are financially responsible for the production facility (where 400 FTEs are available), you must also ensure that the Shared Service Centre functions properly.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, coach, and support a team of employees in the Finance Department;
- Responsible for the full planning and control cycle of the local organization;
- Identify financial hazards and opportunities, analyze situations and financial issues to enable timely and well-founded financial considerations by management;
- Conduct risk management on location and beyond, ensuring all financial risks are controllable;
- Monitor local legislation and regulations related to taxes and other statutory obligations;
- Preparing the periodic internal and external reports, including the analysis of the results, with the help of budgets and forecasts. Identifying and communicating issues;
- Advise proactively and/or upon request.

What do we expect of you?
Are you analytical and good with figures? Are you able to liaise with local management while maintaining a link with the Dutch holding company? Are you an experienced manager with ambition and a strong personality? Are you able to bring structure to a dynamic project environment?

You have:
- A Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance & Control or Business Administration;
- Relevant work experience;
- Experience in financial control of a production site;
- Good knowledge of MS Office;
- Knowledge of Accountview, ISAH or similar ERP system and Power BI is a plus;
You are:
- Available on a full-time basis;
- Able to travel regularly to the Czech Republic or possibly move to the Czech Republic.
Some practical things:
- An EU passport;
- A good command of the English language verbally and in writing;
- We aim to conduct the first interviews in week 23 (3 to 7 June). Please bear this in mind;
- We may ask for references from your current and/or previous employer(s) after the first interview, of course in consultation with you;
